Ella loves jewelry and some of her favorite items are her CHARM IT! charm necklace and bracelet. For those of you following me on Instagram, you’ve seen her photographed it in many times. Even though Juliet is my “sporty girl” as she calls herself, she loves them too. I think what draws each of them to this product is the individuality and versatility it allows. They have so much fun selecting which charms they want. It really is interesting for me, as a Mom, to watch their decision-making process of what charms they select.

I have given these several times as birthday gifts, and have enjoyed picking out charms that reflect the child’s personality and interests. There are hundreds of adorable charms from which to choose!  The charms have such incredible detail too. Some even open up like the diary and art kit we have. Others have moving parts like the flamingo and the jellyfish.

I like to think of them as  as little charms with big personality! They are also packaged so nicely as well. The birthday girl can always add charms to her necklace or bracelet too!

CHARM IT! describes themselves as an original, detachable charm jewelry line. Their mission is to inspire girls to express their individuality through creativity. (How great is that?!)

I follow them on Instagram and recently saw a post about supporting a charity started up by young girls. I read all about it on their website. I was so pleased that I had been supporting a business with so much heart!

They have a collection of charms as part of their Charity Charms where they generously donate 50% of the sales from that collection to the featured charity of the month. They focus on charities involving girls.

They also have a blog called The CHARM IT! Spot and under the “Inspired By IT” section they feature a different charitable organization each month.

This month, for October 2015, CHARM IT! is featuring The Pink Polka Dots Guild. After a group of 6th grade girls lost their friend to brain cancer, The Pink Polka Dots Guild was founded and continues to be operated by young people, primarily girls, and their families. They emphasize local efforts and local results in the Seattle area.

They want to inspire other kids to make a difference, and to let them know that age is not a barrier to doing charitable acts. Charlotte, the President of the PPD, a senior in high school now, says that age doesn’t matter, you can still change the world!

We here at Growing Up Glad agree!
