 Our Recap:

The girls were very excited to make the crafts. All of the materials were included and it tells you what supplies you will need. They were supplies we had around the house, such as scissors, a ruler, etc. The directions had easy to understand instructions with images.

Ella’s star craft was great for her age (7 y/o) and any age. It was painting with watercolors. She had fun squeezing the tubes of paint into the water. Our suggestion after doing it is to go easy on the amount of water on the paintbrush because the paper star is very delicate and too much water can create a hole if it gets too saturated.

Juliet’s dream catcher was really cute and whimsical. She loved the colors and the feathers. She struggled a bit wrapping the ring in the yarn and needed adult assistance. As she explains in the video, the string is really long and was getting tangled as she wrapped it around the ring. An older child or one who is perhaps more “crafty” should be just fine. The most challenging part for us was creating the middle weave inside the ring. Even I was not able to execute it, but I just modified it and wound the yarn around the ring to make a random zig-zag pattern and we were happy with how it turned out.  She was eager to hang it in her room.

Overall, the girls enjoyed receiving the surprise crafts and working on them. We think if you have a child who loves art and crafts, they would really like being a part of the Creative Girls Club and would be excited to receive 2 projects in the mail every 4-6 weeks.
