Liquid I.V.- an electrolyte mix doing good for your body and the world
Giving is a big theme on our blog and in our life too. In the month of November, I focus even more on the themes of gratitude and giving. I always do my best to read up about a company before partnering together and I found it so interesting to learn that Liquid I.V. was developed by two friends and collegiate athletes from Santa Monica, California, Brandin Cohen and Hayden Fulstone. They wanted an alternative to sports drinks that were filled with artificial flavors and colors. All Liquid I.V. ingredients are sourced 100% in the United States and they worked with nutrition scientists to formulate the product and the technology. According to their website, it states that “in 2012, the duo came across an untapped hydration science, Oral Rehydration Therapy, developed in the 1970s by the World Health Organization and deemed to be one of the best medical advancements of the 20th century. This hydration breakthrough was created to aid children in developing countries suffering from extreme dehydration caused by deadly diseases.” They wanted to apply this science to the every day person, the athlete, etc and also use it to help end dehydration globally.
With every order you place, they donate 1 serving of Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier electrolyte drink mix to someone 
in need around the world. They have sent Liquid I.V. to places such as Haiti and Uganda. The company works with giving partners in these countries to get the product to those most in need. Dehydration claims the lives of over 760,000 children every year and it is an epidemic that is completely fixable according to their site.

The nice thing about it coming in a powder is that you can control the dilution. They recommend dissolving the packet in 16oz of water, but I actually preferred mine more diluted. I also like that it is safe for kids to drink as well. It’s great for the hot days in our South Florida sun, as well as all of the outdoor sports and activities we do.
