About Kimberly
Hi! I’m Kimberly. I have an M.Ed and Ed.S in School Counseling and Guidance as well as Mental Health Counseling. My career focus was on educating young children on character education, promoting personal growth, emotional intelligence, and bullying prevention. I also collaborated with parents, teachers and community agencies. After my 2 daughters were born, I was diagnosed with a chronic Neuro-Immune disorder and was not able to return to my previous career. I started my blog in 2015 as a way to stay connected to other mothers and continue focusing on topics relating to parents.
My goal for Growing Up Glad is to create a supportive community of mothers, living life mindfully, raising their daughters with gratitude, gladness, giving, glamour, and girl power!
We love bringing you the latest in tween girl fashion and accessories as well as women’s fashion, home and family lifestyle items.
Our friends and readers appreciate our authentic voice and can relate to our value of quality items for families. We have been working with companies as Brand Ambassadors and Influencers since the first month we started Instagram in 2015. For the past several years, we have consistently delivered professional content and have developed lasting relationships with many national brands both large and small.
We especially love working with companies and projects that have a giving component.
I am a trained Kindness Ambassador for a local non-profit called KindnessMatters365, and I run an after school club promoting the message that “Kindness Matters”.
